European Spedition was established in 1982 by Mr. Leon Vaessen and has grown steadily through careful management with retention and re-investment of profits. It is still a family owned and run company with Mr. Vaessen continuing to take an active day to day role in the company's development.

Our office in Basildon includes a custom built warehousing facility. At this location we employ over 15 personnel variously specialised in Road Freight, Airfreight and Deep Sea Forwarding. From Basildon we can breakbulk for distribution throughout the UK and Ireland and similarly we can arrange collection and consolidation for all European destinations.

In Frodsham near Manchester we have an office employing 4 personnel mainly engaged in sales activities.

Additionally, in Dover we have a sister company - Freight Systems Europe Ltd - who provide an important link with our continental activities and are engaged in general forwarding and warehousing activities in their own right.

The company has an annual turnover in excess of £4 million and can boast an extensive network of partners and agents not only in Europe but Worldwide.
